Our experience with Dr Pitea was the best. He is a very confident doctor and avoids surgery if at all possible. He is very clear in his explanation of procedures and results. We couldn't ask for a better doctor.

I’m so thankful my friend referred me to Dr. Pitea. After seeing multiple GI docs, he was the first doctor that really took the time to figure out what was going on. On top of his knowledge and wisdom, he and his staff have incredible bedside manner. I left feeling heard, understood, and reassured that he would be able to help me! So grateful for him and his team!

Dr. Pitea, Dr.Mounzer, and Malinda Guitterez were amazing! While I was in and out of the hospital numerous times, they were caring, professional, and always informative with my family! During a time of Covid they made me feel safe and cared for! They took the time to FaceTime my husband so he was informed of my care! I would recommend their endoscopy services to anyone! Thank you for saving my life over and over again!!

I had the privilege of being a patient of Dr. Pitea’s when i needed an ERCP! He was the most incredible Doctor i have ever had. His bedside manner is beyond compassionate and outstanding, AND he’s amazing at what he does! It’s so hard to find a compassionate and competent Doc these days, but Dr. Pitea and his whole team are above and beyond incredible. I would, and do send my family and friends to them! I’d trust them with anyone! Thank you for such a great experience!

My husband Mike has been a patient of Dr. Pitea since July 2018. Mike suffered a brain injury which left him unable to swallow normally requiring him to have a feeding tube. I brought Mike to Dr. Pitea when I was having challenges with Mike’s previous GI doctor from the hospital, and I had known Dr. Pitea from when he was my mom’s GI surgeon when she had pancreatic cancer. Dr. Pitea is extremely smart, knowledgeable and skilled, and both understanding and supportive of me as Mike’s loved one and 24/7 caregiver, which includes all of Mike’s GI home care needs up to 8 times a day (overnight tube feedings, water, medicine, and other food/liquid intake by syringe, stoma care, and PEGJ feeding tube maintenance, etc.) Dr. Pitea has performed multiple procedures on Mike and I have the utmost confidence in him. Mike has almost 20 medical providers, and Dr. Pitea is among the 5 most important doctors on our care team. The doctor treats Mike and me with respect and is kind to Mike. I’ve taken care of many of my family when they were sick or dying over the past 40 years since I was 15, and when you’re a loved one and caregiver, you need to be an advocate to get the best care. Not all medical professionals appreciate that. Dr. Pitea encourages me to speak up, listens to me, answers my questions, and continues to be there for us when we need him.
